Our first ever experience on a "Hop On - Hop Off" Bus
This method of transit had both good and bad points
It cost about $30 per person good for 1 day
You could buy a 10 trip Metro card for $10 per person good all year

On the Elegant Passeig de Gracia
Steven checked out the mechandise at Gucci
We could take these photos from the bus because we spent a good deal of time stopped in traffic or waiting for lights to change
Our destination was the circular building in the background behind the Placa de Espana
It used to be a bullfighting stadium. Now it has been converted into a shopping mall

Plaça d'Espanya is one of Barcelona's most important squares, built on the occasion of the 1929 International Exhibition, held at the foot of Montjuïc
The interior of the mall is more than just stores as this motion activated light show demonstrates
New clothes were necessary since our luggage was all sent to Madrid
Nice choices!

Back on the bus

We got off at the wharf area

Interesting sculpture here

With our mall shopping done, we checked out some local offerings
Port Vell Harbor
Barceloneta Beach is the closest to town but very "touristy"
The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, also known as Barcelona Cathedral,
is the Gothic cathedral and seat of the Archbishop of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
The cathedral was constructed from the thirteenth to fifteenth centuries,
The lights of evening present a different atmosphere
