Castle
Hill, the highest altitude in Vieux Nice (92 meters above the
sea level), is the location of the ruins of the former
Chateau de Nice.
This vantage point provides
views of the Promenade des Anglais, the Baie
des Anges (west), the Port de Nice (at east), the city itself and
the mountains beyond |

is an elevator (ascenseur) to the top of the hill but it was
closed for renovation
So we walked the 500+ steps
