Cars
are not allowed beyond mile 15. We took the bus to Wonder Lake
at mile 85
Denali means "The High One" in the Athabascan language
The
views along the road are amazing.
Throughout our journey passengers
were allowed to leave the bus
and hike into the back country
Some stay overnight at camp sites (must have bear repellant)

Many
views of Denali from different vantage points along the road |

Now near the end of the road, 85 miles into
the park we decided to continue on foot |
There should be a beautiful reflective view
from here as the sign describes |
But nature did not cooperate |
Not much of a reflection with Denali hidden
behind clouds |
This is what some previous visitors we lucky
enough to see and photograph |
