Barbados(2018)
September 2018
Caribbean

Our destination on this island was below the surface
Our destination was Harrison's Cave
The height of the vegetation was remarkable
Joe is dwarfed by the trees reaching for the sky
Plant life somehow finds nourishment in rocky cliffs
After a movie of the cave's history and safety lecture, we descended into the cave by tram
This is different from other caves we've visited around the world
It is a comparatively young cave.
The structures are rather small and clustered in small pockets lighted for viewing by tourists
From a distance this suggests 2 figures
Zooming in

This cave is unique because of the large pools of running water
It is even accessible by boat for experts and workers

The structures at right suggest chandeliers

These were posters at the entrance to the cave - the power of zooming in.
