The plan was to fly from Lynchburg to Fort Lauderdale for a Caribbean cruise. We allowed for a 4 hour layover in Charlotte to make our connecting flight It was not enough. First a 2 hour delay, then onto the plane and off again - "mechanical difficulties"
Thanks to Royal Caribbean and 2 helpful American Airlines employees, we flew directly to Nassau, Bahamas and enjoyed a hotel on the beach (courtesey of Royal Caribbean since we booked our flight through them)
The next morning our ship The Harmony of the Seas arrived right on time
